tenuta rustica etna extra virgin olive oil wine

HISTORY

The estate called Rustìca has belonged to the Fisauli family since the 16th Century.

It is located in the Alcantara valley on the northern side of Etna, at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level.

In the 70s Giuseppe and his brother Antonio Fisauli of Casalgiordano reclaimed a vast area of the estate with cyclopean works, masterfully reshaping its appearance. Following the footsteps traced in this place by the people who loved it, the earth reveals to us its natural and incessant desire for evolution.

We grow various fruit plants with the utmost respect for nature, such as peaches, pears, apricots as well as Nocellara dell'Etna olive trees which produce extra virgin olive oil. We produce wine in an artisanal way, from a 50 year old vines of Nerello Mascalese and from a young Grecanico Dorato vineyard.

The Rocca Pizzicata, also known as the "stone lion", protects the villa built in 1667 from above. This ancient rock complex is immersed in a forest of oaks and turkey oaks, concealing within it archaeological finds of enormous value. Among these are an altar, various rock millstones and a cave, revealing the territory's ancestral vocation for agricultural production.
